Welcome to Patmos Junior School !

Message from the school director

Richard is the director of the school. He communicates regularly with Nabuur neighbours online to keep them informed of special activities and needs. Richard is an inspiration to all who have witnessed his commitment to the children at Patmos junior. He works on behalf of the children and has demonstrated time after time his compassion, honesty, sense of ethics and responsibility. He is a man with a vision and the drive and commitment to see it realized.

The work we are doing has always been challenging but we are driven by the passion of helping children in need. Our vision for these children has always been big.

We are determined to go to the extra mile to see to it that they are educated, cared for and protected from the cruelty in society, fed, clothed and that in the near future those without a roof over their head will be accommodated in a place they call home.

Richard says

"I have a dream that one day the orphans and street children around will have a place they can call home.

We especially would like to watch out for the HIV/AIDS orphaned children, who are always discriminated against and ignored by a society which views them as outcasts.

With your smallest donation to any of our needs you will be helping in a big way to realize our vision, and thus helping further the lives and future for these children.

Join us in bringing positive developments in our school which is still being housed in temporary structures.

Your decision in taking part in this noble work will go along way in making a big difference in the lives of these children, who otherwise would be languishing on dangerous streets. They and they alone hold the key for a better world tomorrow. Let us help them today and be sure of a better world tomorrow.

Remember to pass information about us to your friends, relatives etc for as the saying goes "many hands make work easier".

We are very pleased for those who have heard about us and have joined us in advocating towards the hectic condition we are operating. We have never had sponsors or donors so far, but our great thanks go to Nabuur online neighbours who have widen our scope of links in various way of finding capacity building.

Special thanks to my wife Fridah who together with her workmates who financed for some school facilities which included desks, small plastic seats and tables.

They talked of a possibility of bringing a group to visit our school. Members of staff and school board and our dear students welcome whoever is willing to pay us a visit.

Our prayer is to have partners willing go an extra mile with us in changing the lives of our future generation in Kenya.

Children need a sponsor

It is hard to imagine the level of poverty that the children we serve grow up in the slum of Mathare in Kenya. Some of these children are actually abandoned by their parents due to financial problems. Others are AIDS orphans, trying to fend for themselves.

Become our friend

There are many ways friends can help e.g. from helping to build a school to providing educational materials for the teacher's use.

From doing backyard fundraising for school text books to donating so the hungriest of the hungry to be fed.
